Aquarium with Little Fish

Drawing - Megan

Dear Megan,

Your aquarium is so full of life that it practically spills off the page. I think great stories do the same thing: they are so full of wonderful characters that words barely contain the story. Well done!

Aquarium with Seahorse

Drawing - Cally

Dear Cally,

What a pretty aquarium! I especially like the seahorse, the rich colours, and how the tank is drawn in three-dimensions. Do you have an aquarium at home that you used as a model for this drawing?

Happy Lobsters

Dear Kadyn,

What an original idea! You would build an aquarium that is joined to the ocean so that giant lobsters could be well cared for and still be living freely. Your lobsters certainly look extremely happy with the arrangement!

Sand Castle

Dear Emma,

It looks like your giant lobster is head over tail about the gorgeous sand castle you’ve made for it. The rock and the seaweed are also nice homey touches for the aquarium. Maybe you’ll be a marine biologist like Graeme when you grow up!

Lobster Room at the Science Lab

Dear Lilly,

The science lab you’ve drawn is full of terrific details: the extra thick table to support the massive aquarium, the giant lobster with one claw bigger than the other, the label on the specimen jar that says “lobster room”, and even the extra-white lab coats that the stylish biologists are wearing.  I think that a giant lobster would be happy in a place like this.

Happy reading!

Cheers,

Jessica

Jellyfish

Dear Seamus,

Lobsters have many legs, and I see that you’ve really paid attention to that detail. I also like your jellyfish with the curly-cues that are swaying in the water of your aquarium. I’m really glad you like my books.
