Thank you so much for your book recommendations. I love to read books by other writers and often admire how they can take the same topic that I might write about, only they write in their own voice and have fresh ideas that I wouldn’t have thought off. That’s what makes reading so much fun!
I like your dolphin very much. Sometimes I see them frolicking in the water off the eastern coast where I live when I’m in my boat. They always look so cheerful, just like you’ve drawn.
I was so glad to read that you enjoy my stories because they are based on things that I see or that happened to me. It is kind of you to suggest that I should write a story about when I was little, but change the name of the character to Emmy. I might do that someday. Emmy is a good name, but so is Hayley! To answer your last question, I have been writing since I was in elementary school in Alberta, where I grew up, and where fresh lobsters were hard to come by.
I very much liked how you compared taking an animal, such as a giant lobster, out of the ocean to that of having to move out of your own home – neither is fun. I think you would make a good writer because you can put yourself into someone else’s shoes. Well done!
